Chanhua originated from Chinese folk traditions, with its earliest cultural trace recorded in the Northern Song poet Song Qi ¡s line "Colorful trees stand paired with wrapped flowers." During the Song Dynasty, when wearing flowers in hair was fashionable, the ancients created "lifelike ever-fading flowers" with silk thread and copper wire to replace perishable fresh flowers - the prototype of Chanhua. It flourished in the Ming Dynasty with the "men wearing flowers" trend in the imperial court, became elegant ornaments for literati and ladies, and developed diverse schools in the Qing Dynasty (such as Hubei Yingshan Chanhua with "auspicious mythical beasts" themes). Ronghua Craftsmanship: Merging Tradition with Modernity

The charm of Chanhua lies in the harmony of "paper as the base, thread as the soul, copper as the frame." We abandon traditional real silk and choose high-quality matte velvet thread for its warm texture, excellent color fastness, and ability to create natural same-color gradients. The "bone" of each Chanhua is 0.3-0.4mm thin copper wire, which is softened by slight annealing and bent into flower and leaf outlines (called "frame forming"). The core craftsmanship consists of three precise steps: first, flower patterns are drawn on cardboard and cut out as the paper base to define the shape; second, copper wire is cut proportionally, single strands of velvet thread are separated, wrapped at a 90 right angle, and fixed with white glue; finally, wrapped petals and leaves are assembled, with thread ends hidden to present the vivid three-dimensional effect.
